Introduction

This chapter introduces the basic terminology of mBlock 5, including device and extension.

Device

Device refers to main control board or products with main control board, such as mBot, Arduino UNO, Micro:bit, and the like.

Devices officially supported by mBlock 5 will appear on the Device Library page.

Device Extension

Device Extension refers to block categories other than the default block categories of a device. For instance, Neuron and IR Remote blocks both are extensions of Codey Rocky.

Click "+ Extension" in the Blocks Area to add an extension from the Extension Library.

Sprites Extension

Sprites Extension refers to block categories other than the default block categories of the sprites, such as AI (Cognitive Services), and TM (Teachable Machine).

Click "+ Extension" in the Blocks Area to add an extension from the Extension Library.
